About
My name is Nij'e Freeman (ni-jay)
Welcome parents and parents to be,
I grew up in a family with a mom, dad, and three brothers. If you know what it is like to be the only girl with all brothers then you know! If you do not know, I was my parents right hand. This was my first true experience of demonstrating unconditional care for someone other than my parents. I was a big sister and my brothers keeper.

How it started
At ripe age of 19, I left for the Marine Corps. I strived to ensure Marines under my leadership were taken care of. My reputation for attention to detail, receiving instructions, and understanding what others wanted and needed led me to my first postpartum care experience.

Why Mommies Peace
During my last year on active duty I was able to assist multiple Marines during their pregnancy's. I fully understood my impact when one of my Marine Sister's called me before she gave birth. Now veterans, I instinctively drove from Maryland to California to ensure that she was doing well during postpartum. When I returned, I realized the enjoyment I received from helping not only my friend but a "Family" was the best feeling imaginable. It was then that I knew my natural passion had driven me to my purpose. Giving mothers a sense of security and peace during their birth and postpartum has been my long term goal.
